Apricot Orchard

"By backing you, I am ensuring my own survival. That alone is enough, Daybreak." She smiled. "And not only have you got my power at your disposal, but Kohaku has to follow my orders, as she is still bound to her body. So you can use her to hop around the place."

"Survival. Originals come back whenever they want after death" Daybreak pauses, "But if you die, Kohaku takes back the body...correct?"

"Incorrect. If I die, she does not have an able body to return to. She would be stuck in the lynx cub for the rest of her life."

"Rest of her life? Yeah, then when she dies, she can just come back - no matter what. Her number is higher than mine, so I have no cannot stop or encourage it" Daybreak narrows his eyes, "But when you die, it is forever - unless someone brought you back"

"I have no contacts with anyone who could do that." She said cooly. "So when I die, I shall die forever. As it is, I am three hundred and fifty years old, and this body does not like my presence. I am fighting to stay here."

"It is an original's body after all" Daybreak muttered, "I suppose you're looking for a new one then"

"Yes. I am not satisfied being dead - there is too much I still wish to do." She agreed.

"You are not satisfied being mortal" Daybreak smirked, "As we see many a time from the ones who rise from the dead. Another reason why the world must be purged."

"I wish to die eventually." Nasiar disagreed. "But I still have things that I wish to do."

"Like?" Daybreak questioned firmly.

"Like get involved in a War." Nasiar smirked grimly.

Daybreak narrowed his eyes, but didn't say anything. He instead spun round, where K'Yaku was chewing on his tail.

"Oh, Daybreak. When the time comes, tell your little ones to pick red, not blue." Nasair said cryptically.

Daybreak raised an eyebrow, turning his head to view his surroundings.

"So, shall I stick around or take my lynx cub and cause some trouble?"

"If you want to cause trouble, you can hold them off forming alliances with each other" Daybreak muttered.

"Oh, but War is what you need. Let the mortals do as they please - you're an original, you need not fear them."

"Oh, but watching the mortals run about as they please amuses me," Daybreak replied, "Distract them while I bring the troops back" He paused, raising his head, "The humans are returning to Dusk Isle as I speak. Damn, this is going to be so much fun!"

"Oh yes, I would suggest using them to your advantage." She chuckled. "But use them as they don't expect it."

"If you excuse me" Daybreak turned away, "I have to sort out their compound. It is rather messy" He paused, glancing at her over his shoulder, "Go create chaos, please"

"As you wish, Your Majesty." Nasiar smirked, then flew off.

Daybreak was gone. K'Yaku was left, looking confused.

Kaiti narrowed her eyes at Nasiar.
"I do not trust you; I hope you are aware of that. If Daybreak comes to any harm, you will be taken with him, mark my words."
She went to the tree in the middle of the Apricot orchard and uttered a strange, high-pitched cry. The tree began glowing a brilliant gold, every leaf and every apricot shining with unearthly light.
"You can tell Daybreak that if he needs to use my power during the war, I will be in my sanctuary." she told Nasiar. "I intend to amass power there and come back to his aid later."

She looked down at K'Yaku.
"Little one, you have inherited some of the vast powers of your father. Go, follow him; you will be of great use to him during the war." she licked his head before turning to P'Taia.
"My daughter, you have inherited my feelings and my heart. This is why I will bring you with me. You will be more helpful to me than to your father in this battle." she told her, and the little pup flew to her mother's back.

Without another word, Kaiti padded to the golden tree. She touched it with the tip of her nose and vanished at once. The tree turned back to its regular state after she had disappeared.

K'Yaku took in the words, feeling his father's summoning. He closed his eyes, and vanished into thin air.
