"Thinking.. what?" Eres looked more lost than ever. Shivering, she whispered, her voice sounding strangely of Whim:

"A mind, broken, a heart, she has none. When the doors of death part before her, what once flowered will not wither."

"She thinks she's better than everyone else" Daybreak put it blankly, through narrowed eyes.

"I think I have a connection to this.. Apose. Something's strange about this land. The last remaining fortune I have mentions her name in it."

"Apose is in everything" Daybreak snorted.

"But it said that she would 'open the doors of death' and would 'wither come the daybreak', as well as 'break away from fallen' and 'the lost, the dead, the great one keep'. I can't make sense of it all."

"The world is going to destroy itself" Daybreak turned on her with shinning eyes, "We will fight for the end"

"Apose stands for apocalypse, doesn't she? I could tell just from the aura surrounding her name. She is a spirit of chaos, isn't she?" Eres's voice strengthened as she spoke.

Daybreak's gaze did not waver.
"In the beginning, there was six. Six created everything. She is One of six, I am Four of Six"

"Six is a dangerous number. Three is the most stable, the most peaceful number. Two sets of three... I can't even imagine the chaos this land must be in."

"The land has been fine for longer than you could count to" Daybreak muttered, irritated.

"Really? My spirit has lived in many other beings, countless moons, countless years. The spirit of fortune lives within me, and the power I have rivals the Fates themselves."

"So tell me, old one, what are these fates to me?" Daybreak's gaze flickered.

Eres struggled to answer, her mind in turmoil. The Fates had told her specifically not to reveal her spirit, and she had defied them.

She picked her words carefully. "The Fates oversee everything. They snip threads of life and death, and are greater than any one being."

"I think I'd know who these fates were if I created everything" Daybreak smirked, "Four is death"

K'Yaku stired, falling from Daybreak's back and landing neatly on his feet. Nyxius and Marru began to inspect K'Yaku and P'Taia, clearly impressed.

A wolf landed in the clearing. A dark-rimmed hat sat oddly on her head, and she held a lynx cub in her mouth. Nasiar and Kohaku.

"Daybreak, I must speak to you." She said, letting the cub roll to the floor. It gave her a sharp reproachful look.

Daybreak rolled his eyes, "Yeah, whatddya want?"

"To help you win the War." She said with a honeyed smile. "I can sense it on the breeze. A war is coming, and I can help you win."

"Why do you want to help me?" Daybreak questioned icily.

"I am simply backing the winning horse. More timelines suggest you will win the War." She said with a smile.

"Timelines? I though Neon played with time?" Daybreak chuckled, "But I appreciate the support"

"I am a fortune teller, Daybreak." She said simply. "Neon is gone, but I can predict them. I can warn you against any fight that it seems unlikely you will win, tell you who to back and who to make your enemy."

"Fine. But I ain't going to give you anything" Daybreak snorted.
