Apricot Orchard

A wolf opened her eyes for the first time in two years. She fluttered her wings gently, shaking off a few blades of grass. She stood on unsteady legs, as if trying them out for the first time in a while.
A charm on her ear brushed against some leaves on a bush as she went.
The wolf began to sing, a surprising action considering it was her first in a while. She had a soft, sweet voice. It echoed around the orchard.

Chessru laned, seeing a wolf ahead. He narrowed his eyes as he heard singing.

The other wolf sensed the presense but ignored it, and continued to sing.

Serendia whistled along. "It's catchy." she admitted.

The wolf emerged from the trees. Her wings were not large and feathered, but intead seemed to be translucent wings, similar to giant dragonfly wings.
Still, she continued to sing.

"Who are you?" Chessru asked, folding his black wings away

Seth tapped into Serendia's mind and saw the new wolf. "Awesome wings." he muttered. Serendia stamped on his foot. "Shh!"

The wolf glanced at him with pale blue eyes, but ignored him.
She continued to sing.

"Now that girl's got attitude." Serendia said admirably. Seth shuffled away from her.

The wolf blinked at Serendia before continuing to sing. Her song was a little clearer now.
"Keep trying to break free
To that blue, blue sky..."

Serendia liked her song. She pushed away Seth's urgent commands to check the future and listened.
Seth scowled and scrunched up the dirt in his paws.

"If you can make it through;
You'll find what you seek...
So keep trying to break free,
To that blue, blue sky..."
The wolf continued singing, her wings fluttering gently, scattering a few leaves which floated down around her.

Serendia felt lulled by her singing and almost dozed off. She shook herself awake and glanced at Chessru to see if he was feeling the same. Seth definitely wasn't.

The wolf turned and seemed to notice the group for the first time. She slowly stopped singing, her voice fading until it was gone.
She stared at them in silence.

"Hello" Chessru spoke politly, dipping his head

The wolf dipped her head slightly. She seemed to pause for thought, before she came straight out with a question.
"What are you doing here, wolves of Moonriver and Sunwood?"

"We were told of the Orchard - as a wolf died, and we came to inversetigate" Chessru was shocked she knew what clans they were from.

The wolf closed her eyes. She began singing again, very softly, a gentle song with a sad edge.

"You light the skies,
up above me...
A star so bright,
you blind me...
Don't close your eyes...
Don't fade away..."

She opened her eyes and stared fixatedly at Chessru.
"What do you know... about Pikokku-no-kagayaki, A-single-glowing-feather-in-time?" she asked in her soft voice.

"He could stop time for 30 seconds apeice. He saved me from the two-legs and Saved Iska from her mother. He lived on the broad ledge, and his mother abandoned him, Iska made friends with him, and she got trampled. Silvermask killed his friend, and Silvermask killed him. She only disabled him, but he died" Chessru recalled.

The wolf laughed and gave a surprising response. "I managed to have a few brief words with Silvermask when she turned into Piku in the battle for a few moments."

"You did?" Chessru was highly confused, "Hang on a minute, who are you?"

Stormcloud kept low. She'd just used the 'think thingsthrough' trick to buy herself time.

Chessru looked around. "Stormcloud, I know your there!"

The wolf dipped her head. "I am Kyoku-no-utsukushii, Tune-for-the-beautiful-world. You can call me Kaiti."
