The High Rock

"What is it NOW?!" Viral complained. "Wolves keep asking me to do stuff, so if you are, then SCRAM."

"Sunwood is my caln. Get out" Sunlit spoke calmly

Viral seethed at her quietly. "Sunwood is gone now, so it doesn't matter." he spat.

"Nope. I've been back and changed all that" Sunlit flickered her tail, and the clan loo beautiful once more.

Viral glared at her and launched into the air towards Starcliff. At least he could be Alpha there. But that meant defeating Xania which was no problem.

Seth jumped back in shock as Sunwood suddenly changed. Agh, now what?! Hello? Serendia? His sister didn't answer. He shivered a little when he remembered what her state of mind was like.

Sunlit smiled. Her clan.

Seth poked his head around the boulder blocking him from them. "What's going on?!"

"Sunwood is back"

Seth closed his eyes tightly and opened them again. "Impossible..." he murmured.

Serendia landed and whistled. "You did a pretty good job, Sunlit." she congratulated her.

"Nah" Sunlit flickered her tail. "And I've just realized so0mething..."

"What?" Seth queried.

"I will not speak here" Sunlit murmed

Seth blinked his sightless eyes. "Xania's in trouble." he said as Serendia shrugged and looked away. "Where then?"

"Viral is the leader of Starcliff. She must fall into place" Sunlit spat. With that, she spiraled into the air to Starcliff.

Seth and Serendia glanced at each other. I like Xania.
Me too.
But I don't dare defy Sunlit.
I do.
Serendia! You'll die!
Who says so? She spread her wings out ready for flight. Coming? Seth nodded reluctantly and followed her to Starcliff.

Featherkite landed briskly and placed Alarika on the rock.
"Do you wish to train as a warrior or a hunter?" She asked.

Kooneria flew down with Mattoni.
"Featherkite?" she started.
Featherkite is much more in charge of this pack than me. Am I really cut out to lead it?

"Hello Alpha" Featherkite smiled.

Kooneria blinked in surprise and relief at Featherkite's acceptance. She smiled. "Hello, Featherkite." she dipped her head.

"I always wanted to be a warrior Kooni" Featherkite smiled weakly.

Kooneria blinked. "What's wrong? Something seems to be bothering you..."

"Oh, we just have a furrball on our territory" Featherkite shrugged.

Kooneria's eyes narrowed.
"Creekstone. I caught his scent a few seconds ago." she stopped. "Featherkite... you never told me, where do his loyalties lie now?"

"To no-one. He's just a mardy loner who likes beating people up" Featherkite mumbled.
