South East Hunting Ground

Flash soared above a large herd of elk and spotted an injured calf. Wow, his luck has taken a turn recently. He swooped down as fast as lightning and plucked the calf away from it's mother. He quickly dodged her attacks and killed the calf quickly. He flew back to Sunlit, Shadow and Murasaki.

Serendia glided above the peaceful herds of elk. She knew what was going to happen if she acted to rashly. Chaos will follow. She smoothly swooped down and took an old elk. She knew the calf is protected by his mother who would knock her to the ground where she will be trampled on. Sometimes she marvelled at life. But right now, all she could think of was how easy it was to die. She was glad she had the power to see in the future. She landed and dropped the dead elk on the ground. She ate her fill and carried the carcass back to the Lone Tree.

Xania swooped down and immediately killed an elk. Swift and fast. She liked it that way. She noticed Seth eating an elk and frowned. How can that be? Did he possess the power of speed like Flash? She dragged the carcass towards him.

Serendia ate her fill and lay down. She closed her eyes and let her mind wander. Suddenly, images flashed through her mind. Emotions too. She sat up. Seth needed her. Now. She tore off a leg of the elk and flew off.

Xania huffed and followed Serendia.

Iska landed, and watched. There was an elk towards her right, and a few to her left. She decided to go right. She relucatnly summonded the winds with in, causing the grass to blow, howling almost so her footsteps would not be heard. And besides, it would distract the elk.
Padding forwards, she stopped mere strides away, and jumped, landing cleanly on the elk's back. It began to bolt, but Iska clung on, working her way to the elk's neck.
And then she got their, biting down, clinging on as the elk tumbled to the ground.

Iska stopped, and sniffed the air, and Alarika ran into her.

Mattoni was cautiously parting through the grass. Skah trotted up behind them. She was curious to see how hunting worked.

"Okay." Iska looked around, "Can anyone tell me where the elk are by smelling?"

Mattoni stretched her neck and sniffed the air. "Ummmmm...." Making a wild guess, she pointed with her wing in a random direction.

"Very good!" Iska praised, "Now, we have to get ready to stalk."

Alarika took on a defensive position.
"Like this?"

"Technically, you can stalk how you want. It's what works best for you." Iska explained.

Mattoni, hoping that her guess was correct, dropped into a crouch and moved slowly forward, like she had at the clearing.

Skah, watching, attempted to do so, but ended up dropping herself onto her stomach. She grinned at her mistake and stood up. "The only thing I've really had to hunt for is leaves."

"What about if that leaf blew away in the wind?" Iska asked.

Alarika began to lumber after her sister.

"So loud!" giggled Mattoni at Alarika.

Skah grinned. "I'd chase after it, I guess. I'm pretty strong, so I know I could be some use here."

"Just imagine that leaf. I'm a leaf!" Iska ran off after the pups, jolting a little to give the impression she could have been a leaf.

"Sorry!" Alarika called back as quietly as she could, and tried to be slower in approach.

Skah blinked in surprise before dashing after her with a laugh.

"Watch~" Mattoni stood up, then repeated her crouch and crawl. She was near silent. "Gotta spread weight, fatty," she teased.

Alarika narrowed her eyes, and tried to copy. She ended up falling on her head.

Iska darted to the left, under one of the elk. The elk started.

Mattoni started to laugh when she heard the elk. Raising her head sharply, she leaped out of her crouch.

Skah skidded to turn and leaped at the elk, praying madly that she wasn't going to screw up.

Iska had latched herself onto the neck of an elk, her tail waving like a leaf in the wind.

Alarika scrambled into a run, and leapt at the feet of an elk.

Mattoni dashed after her sister, but darted away when she was nearly kicked. Skah clung on, beating her wings furiously to keep holding on.

The elk began to scatter. Alarika fell off the legs.

Skah suddenly leaped off before crashing into the elk again, attempting to bowl it over.

The elk stumbled. Alarika ran at it's legs.

The elk Iska was on began to tire.

Mattoni crouched at the sidelines, avoiding the feet.

Skah took advantage and bit at it furiously.

The elk toppled. Alarika jumped on it's face.

Iska's elk was going down.

Skah clung onto its neck, where the spine and skull met, and bit as hard as she could.
