In the Volcano

Taiyo landed just outside the cave, followed by Sunfire with Silverstorm on her back.
"Here." she whispered. Sunfire grabbed her by the scruff before she could go in.
"Wait for Silvermask.2 she instructed, firmly. "Your heart's running away with your head!"

Silvermask landed swiftly. "Sorry. My injury's holding me back..." She dipped her head.

"Injury?" Sunfire repeated questioningly.

"The Rock that stabbed myside, It still bleeding, but a little pain drives me on" Silvermask smiled. "When you took away some of my pain, the bleeding stopped slightly, and my chest wound stopped hurting..."

Sunfire smiled. "At least it's better than it was, Silvie," she nodded. "Let's continue. Come on Taiyo, lead the way."
Taiyo walked into the cave. Sunfire followed, and immeadietly noticed that the whole cave, the walls, the floor, were warm, and when she brushed against the wall it was so warm it was like brushing against another wolf in a den.
"This place is so warm and cozy," she smiled. "It's perfect to rest in!"
Taiyo nodded. "Dad lives a-way up the tunnel, so mum said, but we should rest here in the outer tunnel, I guess. It's nice and warm and will be great to sleep in until Silvie gets her energy back."
Sunfire nodded in agreement. "Hey Silvie!" she called. "Let's stay here for a bit!"

"It's alright, I don't need rest" Silvermask smiled. "We need to hurry anyway.."

Sunfire nodded. Taiyo led them deeper into the cave.

Silvermask rested her tattered wings against her side, trying to keep up. This was quite fun...

Silverstorm leapt down onto the bear rock.

"Its creepy in here."

"I suppose..." Silvermask mumbled, looking down at the pup with the same start to her name as herself. "...But, the only thing I find distastful about this place is the heat..."

"I like the heat." Silverstorm trotted forward, walking alongside Taiyo.

"I was born in winter" Silvermask smiled, "The winter is cold"

Silverstorm sniffed.

"Eugh." There was brimestone (Sulfur, BTW) wafting along, the horrible stink of the chemical making Silver wrinkle her muzzle.

Silvermask shook her wings and peered down at her wound. The bleeding had stopped, finally.

Silverstorm looked questioningly at Taiyo.

'Silver, you guys are going to have to hurry, Storm and Polaris have left the Isle, and Iska's got stronger. Celeheit's dead...'

"What do you mean?" Silvermask asked Shadow who turned away.

'Before I died, I was going to turn my back on this fighting. It's useless. Whenever someone gets defeated, another springs out of the darkness. Chessru has figured out something's fishy. I mean, all the bad guys would't take it in turn to attack us, they attack all at once...

"So, hang on, you've got here a little too fast...."

'I can just appear and go whereever I want!'

"So fine. Basically, your saying this fighting is stupid?" Silvermask raised a wolfen eyebrow.

Silverstorm bounded into the darkness, then gave a cry.

"THE VOLCANO IS ERUPTING!" She cried, rushing back.

Silvermask looked into the darkness, ajusting her eyesite.
"If the Phoenix can survive in here, so can we!" She shouted, looking around for saftly

"A pheonix is fire! It's safe!"

"Exactly." Silvermask grinned. "I could turn into Brook and protect us untill the lava rush is over!" Silvermask got slightly excited. She hadn't used hwer power in ages.

Silverstorm's nerve broke and she shot back up the tunnel as the tunnel grew brighter and hotter.

"Silverstorm!" Silvermask growled, quickly transforming into brook and making a shield out of Brook's fire. She moved backwards with it, calling out the pup's name.

Silverstorm pulled herself out of the end of the tunnel, leaping ovr a bolder.

"It's not safe up there either!" Silvermask let her voice through, even though she had transformed into Brook. "It's safer down here!"
