The Meeting Rock

Iska skidded to a halt. Dead wolves looking around, she saw her mother.
Iska's eyes widened in realisation. Mum was suppossed to be the greatest! she smirked. No more mum to order her around...
She blinked, wondering what to do next.

Flash landed beside her. "Your mother's dead." he said without feeling, even though he missed the Alphess greatly.

"Yeah, so your Alpha" Iska grinned. "it means I'm free!"

Flash nodded slowly. "What do you want to do with her body? It doesn't seem right to let her rot here." He remembered Murasaki and sighed quietly.

"Eat her? I'm starving!" Iska groaned, sniffing her dead mother's body.

Flash winced. "Err, I don't feel hungry. But you can if you need to." He specifically said "need" not "want". Seriously, how did Sunlit raise her only daughter up? Eating? That's cannibalism! But Iska was still Sunlit's daughter, and she was powerful. It wouldn't be long before she overthrew him. He flexed his claws. He could kill her now...when she wasn't suspecting....He shook his head.

Iska tore at the lose flesh and started to eat contently. The meet was nice, but elk was far better...

Flash had to turn away, but he wanted to keep an eye on Iska. "Eat up. Who knows when we will get elk again? The fire has burned away the grass."

Iska finished off and licked her lips.
"Is this Viral?" She asked, pointing her muzzle at the dead wolf behind Flash.

"Yeah, don't eat him. His power is to create viruses, hence his name. You'll likely be dead after the first bite." Flash said. "Shadow killed him. I heard that Shadow is dead now, though." Good riddance. That killer deserves it.

"Oh. So who else is edible? we can stock up, in case the elks don't come back..."

Flash stared at Iska. He guessed she was right, it was logical. He looked around. "Well...I'm not sure. I didn't know how they died, they could've caught Viral's virus." He didn't like being near so many dead carcasses and shifted from one paw to the other. "We should go. It isn't good to linger with the dead too long. We might be lucky and spot some prey." He spread out his wings and flew into the fresh air.

"I guess we should look for elk first" Iska mumbled, taking of after Flash.

"Yeah. We'd better." Flash sighed and scanned the ground beneath him. "Sunwood needs to be ready for more attacks."

"Agreed" Iska narrowed her eyes. "I think I can see something near the Starcliff border...."

Flash scowled. "I recognise one of them. See? The scarred one? She was an intruder in Sunwood before." He swooped down to meet them.

((now at starcliff border))

Sunlit felt life returning to her. She gave an evil smirk.
"Time to finish things off" She padded up to Viral's body, and dragged out some blue flame, shoving it into his system.
"OI Viral"

"Urgh, I am awake." he groaned and opened his eyes. "It feels good to be alive again."

"Great" Sunlit twitched her tail.
"Lets go claim Starcliff, Sunwood's gone now"

"Is that pesky Xania still ruling Starcliff?" Viral asked.

"We'll knock her into place, your the true Alpha" Sunlit paused. "I want to be Beta. You said I could"

Nyxius circled overhead, and quickly choose to go back to Starcliff.

"Sure, sure." Viral said and looked up. "Someone has heard us. Let's go to Starcliff now." He spread his black wings out and launched into the air.

Sunlit nodded and stretched her own wings, bolting into the air.

Barakiri padded into the clearing, curious to find what she had seen.
As she looked around, a wolf appeared in front of her out of seemingly nowhere. It had wings made of blue shadows and rainbow coloured firework markings. She shrunk back, afraid.
"Who are you?" she asked, on the defencive.
"Relax, child," soothed the wolf. "I am Apocalypse, bringer of life."
Barakiri looked around curiously. There seemed to be a single shadow across the clearing, but nothing seemed to be making it. It was strange. All of the plants within the shadow seemed to perk up a little more than before.
"What do you want with me?" she half-whispered, crouching down in front of the wolf. She was too young to know how to fight.
"Barakiri, you have been blessed with a special ability. You can bring a wolf back from the dead. However, the power can only be used once."
Barakiri looked up, overcome with curiousity.
"However, there are conditions." Apose said, bowing her head to the level of the pup's vision, for she was much taller. "If you don't use this power within twelve hours, it will disappear. What's more, you can only use it to revive an innocent wolf. Any wolf who has committed murder or has hurt the land cannot be revived. Think about how you use this power, for you cannot use it for long."
Sun suddenly shone down on Barakiri. The shadow was gone. She raised her scared head and looked around, and to her surprise, Apose was gone too. She was alone in the clearing again.
