The Launch Bay

"Whew! This place stinks!" Arcaii hissed under her breath. She watched as a dog with its twoleg stalked by. All three were under a monster.
Wingspan smirked. "Poor slaves. They've forgotten their native language."
"They're funny looking," whispered Creekstone. "Their ears are weird."
"I know, my son." Arcaii rested her tail on him. "But that's how they're supposed to be."

The dog froze, looked around, and growled.

"Shit, it smells us."

Nyxius landed behind the wolves she didn't know. "Hello"

Wingspan looked around in surprise, but Arcaii and Creekstone didn't seem to notice. Arcaii was slowly backing up as the dog became angrier and started dragging his owner near the wolves.

Nyxius growled at the dog, and lit it's pelt with black fire.
"Trust me, I think dogs don't like fire"

The dog jumped back and barked wildly. The human pulled out its fire stick and Arcaii shoved her son back. "Get out from under here and run," she hissed.

"All of you go, I can handle them" Nyxius replied quickly not realising the danger.

Arcaii looked back at her. "Uh, I don't think you can. See, there's more coming."

3 more humans had stepped out of their den and were walking closer.

"With a dog and that stick, I think our odds are slim," muttered Wingspan. "Even my fire wolves wouldn't have an easy time."

Nyxius's eyes went black, black fire began to dance. She leaped off into the air with fear in her eyes.

Arcaii squeezed out from under the car. "Run!" she barked. Wingspan crawled out, but the dog got loose and lunged at him, grabbing his wing. Creekstone let out a torrent of water and earth, but the dog would not let go. Arcaii turned, and a bullet went into her shoulder. She cried out, and a second bullet hit her wing.
"Dammit!" She called to her sun, "Creekstone, try to run!"
The littlepup squealed as a human grabbed him and cried, "Momma!"

Marru swooped down and struck the two-leg with a bolt ogf pure energy.

The twoleg fell backwards but more dogs were released. They were barking in that strange tounge about something.
A voice called out, "Wolves! Over here, quick!" It came from a clump of trees nearby.

Marru's ears pricked up as he struck down a dog, and leapt to other's back.

Arcaii looked towards the voice. A bullet grazed her ear and she ducked. "Come on, we need to leave before it gets worse."

Wingspan sent a few fire wolves. "That'll hold them for a minute." He grabbed Creekstone, sent a fire wolf after the dog that grabbed his wing, and limped rapidly towards the trees.

Marru knocked a few more dogs down, and raced after the others.

A dog raced after them, and the voice cried, "Yatame! YATAME!" It stopped in surprise and suddenly exploded.

"The HELL?!" cried Arcaii as she managed to fly into the tree after Wingspan tossed Creekstone to her. Wingspan climbed up after Marru and collapsed in the tree.

A white and black male grinned at them. "Is everyone ok?"

Marru nodded breifly.
"Ok, who the hell are you?"

"Oh, haven't introduced myself, have I?" he said. "Well, I'm Habano. And you all are?" He circled them, checking their wounds as he spoke.
"Arcaii." Arcaii flicked her uninjured wing. "That's Creekstone, my son, and my brother, Wingspan."

"And I'm Marru" Marru added, studying 'Habano'

"Pleasure to meet you all." He looked at Arcaii's shoulder. "Eesh, that's a big bullet."
"Ya think?!" She glared at him.
"Well, let's see what I can do," Habano said, ignoring Arcaii. Carefully he used a claw to flick it out.

Domino stopped at the edge of the road, panting and glancing around. Her eyes caught two familiar black and brown pelts. She walked over cautiously, then sat next to Arcaii. "Yo." she said casually. She looked at the injury. "Ow."

Sunlight saw some wolves and landed behind Domino. "What are you all doing here?! Yhis place is dangerous!"

"Exactly." Habano grinned. "Exiting, isn't it?"
"Ey, Domino," Arcaii said with a faint smile.

"Very." Sunlight grumbled. "What's your name?"
