The Lakeside

Domino's tail drooped a bit. "Well, I've gotta find a home soon. I might be spotted by an enemy."

Arcaii went into Wingspan and said, "Why don't you come search with us? It'll be safer."
Wingspan glared at her when she left him.
"That's a great idea!" said Arcaii.

She wagged her tail a bit as it stirred up dust on the ground. "Thank you so much! I needed a den so I could stay out of harsh weather."Like I needed it last time,she thought sarcastically.

Arcaii smiled. "Shall we be going, then?" she asked.
Wingspan nodded. Why don't we head towards the north?" he asked. "I hear that there's a rabbit warren, and we can eat before we leave."

Domino smiled. "That sounds good. I'm hungry." Maybe they'll be nice friends or allies.

Stormcloud stood and flicked her tail to get Moonbreeze to follow

Arcaii plopped down, exahsted. "These pups are starting to wear me out. Thank God there's water here." Eagerly she lapped some up.
"Let's not take too long," Wingspan said. "I'll look for food and you rest up." He started walking around the edge of the lake.

Arcaii calmly stirred up the water with her paw, and soon Wingspan came back with a hare. "Let's go," she said, standing up. "We can eat later. The two padded off.

Piku landed and dropped Chessru by the lakeside.
"Was this more trouble than it was worth?" he muttered to himself. "Oh well; at least my efforts payed off. He's safe for now."
Piku finished licking the blood off the wound before settling down a few feet away to have a rest and a drink from the shining blue waters.
"I must say... Dusk Isle seems to be in a lot of trouble right now. It's making me feel strangely excited and anticipating." he stretched and continued to drink.

Chessru stirred and rolled onto his side.
"I'm gunna kill you!" He roared, tossing aroun on his back.

((Chessru's gone crackers))

Piku raised an eyebrow. He splashed some cold water into Chessru's face.
"Wake up." he sighed. "You sound like you've gone crackers."

"MOAWRRE" Chessru hissed, rolling away from Piku.

Piku gave another sigh.
"He's bonkers," he remarked to himself. "Anyway, I'd better stay here to rest a bit."

Chessru suddenly say up, gasping. "Oh no"

Piku looked up. "Oh, have you come to your senses yet?" he asked with a sigh.

"What? I...." Chessru looked around. "Dammit I still can't see"

Piku padded over and let a few drops of fresh water slide into Chessru's eyes from the tips of his claws.
"Try blinking that in to refresh your eyes," he instructed.

Chessru shook his head. He lifted up his own paw and fired a jet at his face.
"I've got my right eye back" He mumbled. "My left eye is damaged"

Piku nodded to himself.
"Do you mind if I take a look?" he asked, an idea forming in his mind.

"Sure" Chessru muttered, "What happened?"

"Tell you in a second... by the way; this may hurt." Piku closed his eyes.

Piku opened his eyes. He walked over to Chessru and opened his left eyelid using power from his mind. He raised one of his paws and it glowed slightly blue. A few sharp shards that were stuck in the eye were drawn out. Piku lowered his paw and the shards dropped to the floor. Piku then put some cold water into the eye before closing the eyelid again. Piku closed his eyes again.

Piku opened his eyes. Water ran down Chessru's face from his left eye. "Try and bear with the pain," Piku said. "The eye should recover now if you give it some time."

"Your the one doing this aren't you? Messing with time?"

Piku laughed. "Yeah." he said. "You could call it that. I would put it more like... hmm... Chaging the current world during a frozen second?" He sighed. "Anyways, who are you?"

"Me? I'm Chessru" The white loner bowed his head. "And you are?"

"Pikokku-no-kagayaki." Piku dipped his head as Chessru had done. "A-single-glowing-feather-in-time. People tend to call me Piku." he raised his head with a smile. The sun shone down warmly onto his peacock-coloured coat. Piku was in a good mood. He had got his first taste of excitement in this new place, Dusk Isle...
"You can call me Piku if you like." he sat down next to Chessru. "I live halfway between Dusk Isle and Ashpeaks. Since my home and Ashpeaks are both familiar to me, I came to Dusk Isle seeking adventure."
