West Hunting Ground

Arcaii landed, her eyes narrowed. "Can't let a body get some peace around here!" she snarled, setting down her son.
Wingspan alighted next to her. "You chose to come here," he reminded her.
"Whatev."
"Momma, what should we do here?" Creekstone looked up at her.
"I...We should train your powers. What can you do?"
Creekstone shrugged. "I 'unnuh... Well I can do this." Flames sprouted from one leg, from another, water, another was circled by leaves, and the last was surounded by high, strong winds. Flecks of flame and water were whirling around his legs and the same held for the other limbs. Arcaii blinked.
"Interesting."

Arcaii flicked her tail. "Come, we should get some prey."

Wingspan nodded. "No prey around here. Let's go."

They all took off, Creekstone being carried.

Sunlit skipped casually through the grass, almost crashing into a white furball.

"And...how do you know who I am?" Sunlit narrowed her pale purple eyes, golden tail twitching against the sunlight.

In her gaze she held a smaller, subordinate, who she guessed was not even a pure of the species. Holding her tail still, she studied it - or rather, her.

The first think she calculate was the hybred had white fur, the colour of snow. It seemed to clash against her own golden tinged fur.

"I'm in your Clan..." Eirlyamae shrunk even more, realising how quiet she must be. Her two blue tails twitched anxiously, and she found herself licking her metal. "I'm Eirlyamae?"

"I don't have a clan" Sunlit chuckled, her ears flickering in amusement, "Andof that even so, I was on Suncliff three hundred years ago, when the clans split to Sunwood and Starcliff. I choose Sunwood. I was alpha of Sunwood for a few years in your timeline"

Eirlyamae shuffled back slightly, ever the terrible socialist. Had she confused her with someone else? But Sunlit was definitley her name; the she-wolf had confirmed it.

"Oh... I'm sorry. Maybe we met somewhere else, then...?"

Eirlyamae closed her eyes, concentrating hard. The kitsune hybrid was so sure she'd met this stranger before, but where?

A different forest. The white fox had been young; barely out of her rank as a student, and the Tribe had been destroyed by the liquid-fire. Eirlyamae had desperatley fled, and a moon on, arrived in a place unlike any she'd ever known. They were definitley trees, although they did not have small, deep green spikes, rather large flappy things that made a lot of noise in the wind.

And there she was, golden fur and purple eyes. Sitting in one of those wierd trees.

"I remember!" Her sapphire eyes shot open, and the femme glanced up at the taller wolf. "I met you in a different forest. After my Tribe died out; you were sitting up one of those strange trees."

"I like trees" Sunlit murmured, "I sit in many trees"

Spinning in almost a full circle, Sunlit looked up, and around.
"And there are no trees for me - here. Wait, a strange tree? The tree was how strange?"

((I'd meant a normal tree, as Eirly had only ever seen Pines, but whatever... This could get intereting, so I'll make her ramble something strange.))

Eirlyamae frowned at the golden she-wolf, and began to describe the bizzare trees.

"They were wildly different, but they all had certain things in common; their leaves were long and feathery, but you could see through them. Smooth rocks with purple stripes and orange spots made up their trunks, but they were definitly trees. Some had horns, of butterfly wings; some had grown upside down, off of ledges. They were the most strange things I'd ever seen."

The white vixen shuddered at the memory of the bizzare land; something hadn't felt right there. Unnatural, insane. Was she mistaking dream for reality? But if she were, how else could she have known Sunlit?

Am I going crazy? Was the land really an illusion?

And yet... She felt somehow that it was the reality of that place.

Sunlit cocked her head, thinking.
"I've sat in many odd trees!" She finally grinned back, then shook away the smile.

"I'm not supposed to be here, am I - in Starcliff territory...?" She breathed out with a sigh. "I remember when this was Suncliff land"

Suddenly realizing that she'd let a stranger onto her Clan's territory, Eirlyamae attempted - and failed, miserably - a threatening snarl.

"Y-yes. This is S-starcliff territory. A-and... You're not w-welcome here."

Why did it seem like those words were directed at herself? Eirlyamae glared bitterly at the grass, scraping the ground with frustration. She'd not been welcome in her birth-Tribe, either. Was a half-breed welcome anywhere? Did the tiny wolf hybrid deserve to be?

"Fine, I'll just wander off. But I'm pretty sure you shouldn't bother hurting me." Sunlit turnedto walk away, "Afterall,you needall your energy for thewar."

Eirlyamae froze, horrified.

War?!

"W-what war?!" She barked, panicked. This was the first she'd heard of it. Did her Clan know? Did it even involve them? Could she trust this stranger?

"Yeah, War. Daybreak and Apose are at each others throats again, and Daybreak wants to blast us all to hell" Sunlit shrugged.

Eirlyamae didn't recognize the names, and the casual tone the strange she-wolf used made her distrustful, but still a sence of urgency flooded the lupine. She dipped her head in hasty thanks, forgetting to chase her off her Clan's land, and raced back to camp.

((Uh... Eirlyamae is off to camp. But I guess you can tell that.))

Sunlit swished her tail in an amused fashion, and decided to move on.
