Birdsong shrine

"Because you wanted to find Cynder you moron" Daybreak spat.

"Yes, but what makes you think Cynder was awoken then got wind of my plan?" Brook asked skeptically.

"You're little friends could have found her" Daybreak walked over to Brook, "And you are not leaving"

"You can't make me stay here." She said lazily. "I'll just melt any chain you put on me."

"I can hold you in ways you have never known" Daybreak whispered in her ear. Taking his blade from the soft grass and pressing it against her throat.

"Good for you." She said. It seemed an outwardly insolent act, but Brook was actually too tired to care.

"Now, sleep your little socks off" Daybreak hissed.

"Oh, I will. And when I'm done, I'll cause as much chaos as I need to escape." She gave him a sickly smile.

"And I'll give you hell" Daybreak responded smugly.

"Excellent, we both know where we stand." She replied, equally smug.

"Oh good" Daybreak's blade began to run up Brook's neck.

She got to her feet. "I need a drink." She said as if the blade wasn't there.

Daybreak stepped aside.
"I do not know where the nearest drink source is, but I will accompany you."

"How noble." Brook snorted, but followed him.

Daybreak arrived back at the Shrine, ears twitching.

Brook padded in softly, and with tongue darting out to catch the drops falling from her whiskers, curled into a ball next to Tsu.

Daybreak twitched uncomfortably, and began to eye his surroundings suspiciously.

Tsu covered Brook lazily with one wing, the noise of birdsong leaving him trapped in his semi-conscious state of sleep. Kaiti took the oppertunity to once again intervene. She left Tsu and Brook in the little shrine and padded to Daybreak, P'Taia following at her heels obediently.
"So," she prompted her mate. "What now?" she cocked her head on one side and gave a cheeky grin, obviously looking forward to hearing Daybreak's plans.

"I torture, maybe kill someone, then go blast the hell out of everyone. That's as far as I got." Daybreak admitted, grinning darkly.

"Out of curiosity," Brook said lazily through the gap, "Am I needed after this?"

Daybreak ignored her, flicking his wing dismissively.

"Sounds interesting," Kaiti agreed, before freezing suddenly. There was a subtle change in the birdsong surrounding the shrine. Her eyes widened like shiny mint pools.
"Daybreak..." she whispered, her voice containing a hint of fear. "Another original has entered the realm..."

"Cynder. It has to be Cynder." Daybreak took on a defensive stance, "No doubt to rescue Brook. We need to guard the prisoners." He marched past Kaiti quickly.

"Oooh, Cynder. Now things get interesting." An escape plan formed in her mind. She then turned and nudged Tsu.

"Wake up, Tsu. Things are going to get interesting." Brook said softly in his ear, making sure her breath tickled his fur.

Daybreak glared at Brook darkly, giving a snap of his jaws.
