The Clan Cave

"The North Hunting Ground Was Good" Tsuki pointed out, he lie down on the cold stones, wrappig his tail around himself, "I don't know who was worst off, Brook or me" He joked.

"Right." Eirlyamae dashed off, and came back, starting to chew up some marigold.

"This might sting a bit," The Kitsune hybrid warned, spitting it into his wounds. "And I'm afraid I don't know what could keep it closed. Not unless anyone here can make ice or glass, anyway." Her eyes darted between Tsuki and Crow hopefully.

"What is your power?" Tsuki asked Eirlyamae softly, wincing as she applied the marigold. There was the sound of paws.
"Are you Starcliff?" The voice addressed. Tsuki turned his head to see a pure white female, rainbowed. The only spoil was her shredded face.
"Yes. Hunter. I was..." He broke off, looking to the females side. Tsuki's eyes grew wide.
Kasi was silent. There was three others. A Black One, a White One...and...He knew it. In such a small time he had found both of his parents.
"Father" Kasi said blankly. Tynoka looked between them.
"Ah. Tsuki aren't you? Hunter in Xaina's reign. Tynoka. Beta of Starcliff"

"...I can sculpt things. Out of ice and glass. And, for a little while, bring them to life." She sighed. "It's only really any use if someone needs herbs, because they don't last long, and it takes a long time to sculpt it right; otherwise, well, they kinda come out wrong..."

Eirlyamae glanced up at the strangers. A white female with rainbow... Well, pretty much everything, and a young male, who looked sort of like...

The white Kitsune turned back to look at Tsuki, then back at the unfamiliar male. Were they related? Then the male spoke.

"Father."

Eirlyamae stared at him, and frowned, turning to Tsuki.

'Well, I suppose he is pyshically old enough to have pups, but surely by law he would have been too young? Unless that's just a Kitsune thing...'

Then the female spoke. Judging by her words, no, there was no restraint on age. It was perfectly acceptable.

Then the white wolf said a word that the fox hybrid didn't recognise.

"Um, excuse me, but, uh, what exactly is a 'beta'?"

"Second-in-Command" Tynoka replied. Tsuki decided to leave wound healing for later.
"Where's the Alpha?"
"Somewhere" Tynoka said icily, not mentioning the fact the pair of them were dead minutes before. Kasi looked at the Fox-like wolf, curiously, not wanting to look at his father.
'He abandoned me too. Not just her'

Eirlyamae tried for a friendly smile to the Wolf that was Tsuki's son, and held out a paw, hoping this was something Wolves did too. Well, Tsuki seemed ok, so his son probably was too, right?

"Eirlyamae."

Kasi looked down at the paw with suspicion.
"We don't do that here" Tsuki mumbled.
Tynoka was starring right through Tsuki.

Eirlyamae flushed, embarrassed, and placed her paw back on the ground.

"It's a greeting," She mumbled in way of explanation. Good grief, it wasn't like she'd hurt him!

"Doesn't matter" Kasi said coolly. Tynoka was eyeing Eirlyamae oddly now. Tsuki gave a small wince.

Eirlyamae flushed even harder, and backed away.

"I suggest we do something useful if you all wish to claim places in Starcliff. Tsuki, you wish to reclaim a Hunter's post. And anyone else wish to be a Hunter?" Tynoka spoke out, looking across at all the others, "And what does everyone want to be? Warriors? Medicine Wolf? We haven't one of them"
Kasi looked at the floor, thinking.
"I do wish to re-claim that post" Tsuki nodded.

Eirlyamae stared at Tynoka blankly.

"Um, what?"

"Rank. Every Wolf has a Rank" Tynoka spoke plainly.

"Those are ranks?" Eirlyamae asked, puzzled. "What about the Pažangios Asilas Doctor? The Erzina Kovotojas?"

The white fox listed many rediculous sounding ranks, in genuine confusion. Of course, they sounded perfectly normal to her.

"We Have an Alpha, the Leader. A Beta, the second-in-command. Medicine Wolf, the Healer. Warriors, the project the clan, Hunters, they Hunt for food. And Apprentices are Pups in training" Tsuki replied quickly.

"Ah, I see. Well..." Eirlyamae frowned for a moment, thinking. "I didn't have a proper rank in my Tribe. You don't until your third year, when you are placed at whatever you have proven best at. Until then, you floated around, did whichever duties needed doing and that you wanted to do. I helped Mari, our Doctor, a lot," The white fox added thoughtfully. "But we had few kinds of herbs. Not many could survive the cold."

'Not that I was very good anyway. I mostly just chewed up poultices for her.'

Eirlyamae glanced at her paws. She liked to hunt, too, but she also liked to fight. Then again, the Kitsune were much smaller than wolves. They probably hunted different things.

"I'd like to be a warrior." The fox hybrid barked quietly.

Tynoka nodded.
"Then I'll place you as Senior Warrior. Tsuki you'll be the Senior Hunter. Kasi?"
"I'll be a Warrior" He eyed his father as he said it.
Tynoka nodded again.

Kori landed in a misshapen heap. She was in a state, and coughing violently. "Kasi, I got to the Volcano and you where gone." She gasped for air. "I haven't flown so fast since BIRTH!"

Kasi grinned. Tsuki turned away.
'So both survived?'
"Do you be Starcliff?" Tynoka addressed Kori. Kasi looked at his sister, encouraging her to nodd.

She nodded. "Yes"

"Warrior or Hunter?" Tyonka asked quickly.

"Erm...." Kori flushed.

Eirlyamae noticed the way Kasi glared at his father, and frowned. The way of the wolf was becoming increasingly confusing. Surely all creatures believed in respecting their family? Apparently not here. Especially considering how Tsuki looked away. Was his son dominant to him? But that made little sense...

'Unless, as most likely, there is more to this than meets the eye. Eh, not my buisness. Better stay out of it.'

Then another wolf, who also looked like Tsuki, flew in. The fox hybrid's eyes flicked over the other wolf, not needing to note how once again, she was taller. The white canine guessed that all wolves were giants, well, in comparison to the foxes. A quick look at the horn was all the confirmation Eirlyamae needed. Definitley another of Tsuki's pups.
