"Umm... I'm going to stretch my wings." Silverstorm suddenly announced.

"Ok" Chessru mumrmed in responce to Silverstorm.
Tsuki took the time to close his eyes, not daring to low the metal barrier that blocked his pain. He knew if he dropped it, the pain would engulf him and drive him down. And as he locked eyes with Silvermask, he felt a shiver run down his spine. The cool female casually got to her feet and swished her tail. Chessru reconised the look in her pupilless eyes and knew that Silvermask had forgotten the fact of something. He only looked away from her when Kiiroku's fur vrushed against his own and the youngster curled up on his paw. Chessru closed his own eyes, and let memories engulf him.
But Chessru's thoughts were interupted by a voice.
'You better get youself over here Chessru' It was Daybreak. Chessru's eyes snapped open, and his stomach twisted into a knot. But he knew he had to go. He dipped his head to Tsuki and exited.

"I'm going back to Starcliff now" Tsuki annoced and rushed out of the cave, half gasping for air. He didn't look back - and headed straight for Starcliff.

A dark shape padded into the cave. The teal fur and green wings instantly gave away Sunfire, as she staggered into the place of shelter. She at once collapsed, her breathing heavy and pained.

"What's up, Sunfire?" Silverstorm yelped in fright.

Chessru had returned. He hadn't noticed that his second pair of crystal-generatored wings were gone. As soon as he saw Sunfire, he darted over to her, pressing his nose to her muzzle.
"Give me some pain!" He half demanded.
Kiiroku saw another shape move in the mouth of the cave. From Chessru's mouth, his eyes grew wide.
"Kay?" He mumbled, and his eye lids were heavy. H curled up and drifted off to sleep.
He didn't realise, but he had just summoned something rather...unique...

Kage stepped into the cave. But he was a year older then he truly was.
But Silvermask didn't even know who he was.

Dreams are interesting things.

The cream furred wolf's tails swayed from side to side as she wandered through her host's mind. Ah, feeling. It was good to have it again, good to feel intrigue and joy. It was a shame when her host found her she wouldn't get to decide what is was she felt anymore.

But still, dreams were fasinating.

They were at their master's control, yet they rarely knew they were controlling it and thus they ended up controlling themselves. They revealed things about one that one refused to acknowledge, couldn't acknowledge. They were familiar and memory-based, but you soon forgot them.

I don't get them, but if my host allows me, I can tweak them.

The nameless wolf's curiosity suddenly spiked. Who was her host? She had rarely been summoned into the mind of anything other than a pup. Once, just once, she'd had the honour of speaking to a peregrine falcon, who was curious of wolves. Another time, an old, lonely cat had dreamt of fighting the way she had when she was young again, before her death.

It was nice to grant these stranger's wishes. It gave her purpose again, something she was without.

Then a frown crawled onto the lupine's face. 'Again'? What did 'again'? When had the patched she-wolf ever had a purpose? She wasn't real, was she?

'No,' The femme decided. She was not real, nor ever had been. And things that weren't real had no purpose, because they needed no purpose unless someone needed them. When they weren't needed, they went back to the Place-That-Never-Was.

What was the Place-That-Never-Was again?

Where was she now?

Nameless shook her head, trying to clear it of thoughts. So distracted was she, that she walked straight into a black lump of fur, otherwise known as the pup, Kiiroku.

"Huh? Oof!"

Nameless stepped back, and blinked several times.

"Ack! I'm sorry!"

Nameless blinked several times at the young pup, trying to scramble her thoughts and memories together.

"Yes," She barked eventually, sitting down. "Yes, you did summon me, and yes, you are asleep. I'd still be in that dreadful... Dreadful what? I dunno. But I couldn't be here otherwise.

"As for who I am... I have no idea."

Still frowning, the swirled femme tipped her head to one side. It wouldn't matter whether or not this pup was making her confused; she was very, very much so. The lupine drowned in it, plunging further into the deep with every memory lost.

"I... Have no name. I... Have no purpose, other than to keep my master and host happy."

A sigh came from the canine. It must be nice, to have a purpose, to be real.

"You can call me... Nameless. Or Friend."

Nameless smiled at the young pup, chuckling as the rain fell onto his nose. The black fluff-ball was going to be rather easy to entertain.

"I can do whatever you wish me to, master." The cream-furred she-wolf bowed to the much smaller canine. "Your wish is my command, and my wish is your command."

Nameless chuckled, waving her paw all around.

"This is your dream. You can do as you chose here, little one... Uh, what is your name?"

Then she walked around, jumping every few steps with glee.

"As for why it's all white, well, this is your dreamscape. You haven't done anything with it, but you know you're dreaming. Because you haven't changed it, your mind doesn't know what to show. So it remains blank."

'Well this is... Odd.'

Nameless wasn't sure what to think about this place. Why would a pup want to dream of it? It smelt dead, and of something that may have once been a tree's insides.

"What is this place, Kiiroku?"

The cream she-wolf pressed into the ground, away from it.

"Metal?"

Nameless had never heard of such a thing. What was it, what did it do?

'Must be a new species,' The cream she-wolf decided. 'And I must've been gone a while.'

"Lots of things look like they could hurt us, Kiiroku." Nameless pointed out, calmly.

"Kiiroku..." Nameless started, suddenly feeling at ease. "Can't we just... You know, leave?"

Nameless frowned.

"I do not know. I do not recall it ever being tried... Though something tells me it might work... Like the ghost of a long forgotten memory...?"

Kiiroku nodded slowly. "Try?"

Kiiroku awoke with a start, and looked up to see if he could find his friend.

"Wow... Hello, Kiiroku." She smiled, and glanced around.
