The Barrier

"There's been a... complication." Nasair said. "Can I come in? We need a place away from ears to speak."

Daybreak nodded, and the barrier flashed away. With that, he wrapped his tail around Naisar's and the two vanished.

Daybreak appeared. K'Yaku appeared in front of him.
"Mum sent me"

Nasair nodded. "I'll bring them here." Then, she took off.

Daybreak took K'Yaku upon his back, and vanished back to his realm.

The moment Brook landed, her whole body tingled. Daybreak had... changed this place. She cast around for Nasair.

At that moment, a needle-fine pain seared her shoulders. She howled as the witches eyes were shown, and Brook almost froze in horror. They were deep blue, like the ocean, with huge silver rings in them like a lip of ice.

"DAYBREAK!!" Nasiar screamed, and Brook fought against the wolf above her. She thrashed and snarled and tried to escape, but Nasiar crushed Brook into the dirt.

Daybreak appeared from behind them, a grin spread wide on his face. It was a monstrous grin. "You are an idiot Brook, did anyone ever tell you that?" He chuckled, then turned to Naisar.
"Can you keep her under control on the short trip from the Chessboard to the Chess piece?"

"Stop wriggling you mongrel!" Nasair snarled, slicing Brook's cheek with her claw. Brook went still.

"Sure, Daybreak." She said with a smile, and retrieved her witch hat from the dirt.

Daybreak wrapped his tail around Naisar's.
"Hold onto her" He mumbled, and they all vanished.

Chessru had been lingering. But there was nothing. Angrily, he hissed, cursing himself for being slow. The white senior warrior. Prepared to take flight again, when he heard something.

Chessru's head shot up, and he found himself starring at a lowering flying object. He re-coiled instantly.
Humans!
Throwing himself aside, Chessru watched through wide eyes as the Humans marched from the flying object, and away into the compound. He didn't need to be told twice to leave.

K'Yaku appeared as Unoki burst through the ground.

Habano appeared behind K'Yaku. "Where are we?"

"The human place." Unoki breathed out, "Anywhere you'd like to go, Habano?"

"Hm." He thought for a moment. "Uh, not that I can think of at the moment." He looked around. "I've actually only been near the humans once."

"They're here." K'Yaku pointed with his muzzle to figures in the distance, shooting beams at a target.

He shook his fur. "They're pretty smart, but they aren't bright."

"They look rather obsessed with those beams." Unoki observed, raising a wolfen eyebrow.

"I think it's so they can kill without actually touching their enemy."

"Not a bad idea." Unoki nodded. K'Yaku started to wander away.

Habano looked over at K'Yaku. "Where are you going?"

"Closer." K'Yaku called back.

"Don't get too close," he started, before remembering that these were pups of Originals. They would most likely be fine.

"I can transport out if they try to hurt us...come on!" K'Yaku wagged his tail eagerly.

Habano blinked. "I don't think I can."
