Faia-ochi-ta-nensho-boshi-no

There was a scream from Kaiti. The three wolves moved back. Kaiti lay lifeless on the floor, blood covering her body.

Kaiti's eyes opened a crack.
"Taiyo... I want to see Taiyo..." her words drifted away on the breeze.

Taiyo made sure no-one could see her before landing next to Kaiti.
Kaiti smiled.
"Taiyo... I am going to die now."
Taiyo looked curious. "I remember playing with you a few times before you were driven out of the tribe!" she exclaimed.
Taiyo bent her head and Kaiti whispered a song in her ear.
"Sing that song and your fire power will enhance," she told her. "Good luck with your life..."
Kaiti vanished in a cloud of music note-shaped dust. The only thing left was the music note earring which she had always worn. With a heavy heart, Taiyo picked it up and put it on her own ear.
"Sionara, Kiyoku-no-utsukushi..." she whispered in her own language, before turning and flying away, back towards Moonriver.

Sunlight watched the events intently and smiled. He flew up and zipped back to the cavern.

Brook padded down the hill towards Faia. She smelt the old scents. Home. She suddenly felt a pang of homesickess. Why was she so tightly bound to this place? A single tear raced down her cheek.

"Why?" She asked herself.

From the small ridge that overlooked the camp, Kasi starred thoughtlessly out onto the horizon. The camp, was empty, abandoned, and Kasi felt his stomach twist into a tight knot, his silver fire wings folding flat against his sides as the young male raised his head to the sky, a small forelock of hair parting to reveal a silver lump - but it wasn't. It was a horn.

Another, similar being padded beside her sister, a lighter silver horn on her head.

"Are you thinking what I think?" The female asked, shaking her silver fire wings, licking her dry, black lips. She looked to the woods, waves of trees stretching to the blue shimmering ocean.

"It depends Kori" Kasi's eyes wavered with emotion, "If you see what I see"

Kasi's wings unfolded and hung limply at his sides, before the young male lifted his head to the sky, "Every action we take controlls our fate"

"I was thinking, who are our parents?"

Kasi felt his heart race. His sight seamed to drift, and stop on the slops of ash that reached high.
"Something draws me to the volcano" He murmed.

There was a loud rumble from it, like a growl echoing across the land.

Kasi narrowed his icy blue eyes.
"I think what you think might link us to that place, but I'm uncertain"

"Maybe." Kori replied. "But what is they don't want us?"

Kasi spared a glance at his sister, his eyes deep in thought.
"They might not even live there. They might be on the other side of the world for all I know. Besides, I've always wanted to get away from this place" He admitted

"It does get somewhat boring." Kori agreed.

Kasi dipped his head so his sight-line leveled with the tide.
"But what I question is why?"

"Maybe just something more exciting lays out on the horizon? Or maybe just that here seems boring because of our fantasies?"

Kasi narrowed his eyes.
"What you speak of has made my decision" He opened his wings out, spreading the silvery fire out into the air, "I wish to explore this strange new world" He took a glance at his sister.
"But first we must visit this volcano" He took a deep breath and gave his wings a flap to rise into the air.
