The Cliff Top

Viral crashed onto the cliff and stayed there, crumpled in a heap for a while. It felt good not to move sometimes. He eventually got up and looked down. A massive drop. He instinctively gripped the ground tighter. His wing flapped out as a strong gust of wind blew. It hurt. His ribs...Viral shook his head. He needed a healer, one that can be trusted. But who?

More fire wolves, much bigger than the others, surged after him. They were more focused and as soon as they saw Viral, they went after him. No hesitations, no talking, nothing, just an urge to kill.
But I suppose that's what happens when you mix fire wolves and fire bears together.

Polaris also flew after Viral. He froze the air around him to ward off Viruses as best he could, before flinging some carefully-aimed ice shards at him. He noticed how weak he looked.
"I expect he's not going to last much longer." he smiled darkly. "That corrupted jerk."

A few icicles hit one of the wolves. It melted and the wolf was destroyed. But there were 5 left, so it wasn't that big a deal.

Polaris raised an eyebrow.
"I'd better be more careful with my aim to avoid destroying more of them." He muttered to himself. He flew a little closer and threw some slightly larger shards, this time being careful to avoid Wingspan's fire creations.

Viral dodged the shards and leapt off the cliff. He hoped his wings will work. If not, then he's dead. He found an air current and glided into it while releasing a puff of toxic viruses every now and then

Polaris made the air around himself even colder before swooping over Viral, and attacking again from a good distance away. He created some small ice shards again, but froze them together to create a large one. He fired the large shard at Viral.

Viral swerved to the left and scowled at Polaris. He flew up and blew out another flu, that can cope better in the freezing cold. They'd better leave him alone.

The fire wolf-bear hybrids chased after him. Finally, one caught up to him and sank its flaming teeth into Viral's tail and pulled him to a stop.

Viral cursed and tried to ignore the pain.

It suddenly flew downwards, Viral still in its teeth. It stopped just before hitting, but swung Viral into the rocks.

Viral flapped his wings to stay in the air and hopefully to put out the fire.

The beast screeched in hatred and sunk its firey teeth even deeper. A few flames began to spread on Viral's tail.

Viral winced as the pain got worse. He sighed. How did Shadow so it? Viral braced himself and bit his tail off. He flew away and kicked a rock away for the fire wolf to burn on.

Eagerly, the wolf burned the tail to nothing but ashes while the rest of the wolves charged after Viral.

Viral flew towards a river near the sacred stones.

Sunfire landed on the edge of the cliff and looked around for Celeheit.

Celeheit landed on the tip of the cliff and looked down. The scenery is still damaged by the fight but it was still home anyway. She glimpsed a wolf and spun around, snarling. "Who are you?!" she hissed, but she stopped when she realised it was Sunfire. "Oh, it's you. What is it?"

"I heard about your eye and wondered if you wanted me to help you see again," Sunfire replied.

Celeheit frowned. "Yes, Sunfire. Of course I do. Please?" She stepped closer to her.

Sunfire gently placed her head on top of Celeheit's. She knew this would probably half blind her until she could find someone else to channel the pain onto but she had already thought of another wolf. She started to draw out Celeheit's pain. She felt a twinging in her left eye. As the blood gradually disappeared from Celeheit's eye, Sunfire felt hers stinging and clouding up and her left vision vanish. It took all she had not to cringe from the sudden pain.
Eventually she pulled away, finished. She felt very strange. Now she could only see out of one eye, the world seemed different to her. She shook it off.
"I'm going to find Wingspan and see if he'll create a firewolf so I can get rid of your injuries." she nodded. "Good luck, Celeheit." she gave a small smile.

"I am indebted to you Sunfire." Celeheit bowed and smiled. "Call me if you need my help."

Sunfire smiled before taking off, heading towards the Dark plains.

Celeheit remained where she was and sat down. Suddenly Xania appeared and swooped down. "Hey! Your eye is healed!"
"Yeah, Sunfire healed it." Celeheit replied tiredly.
"Oh, yeah!" Xania hesitated before speaking again. "Um, Celeheit?"
"What?"
"There're these new wolves I've met."
"Who?"
"Brook and Taiyo. Brook's...insane." Xania shuddered. "I don't like her one bit. She can control fire or something. Taiyo's a pup. Very powerful." Celeheit nodded and yawned.
"Well, I'm going to sle-"
"NO!" Celeheit's head snapped up.
"Why?"
"I want you to kill Brook." Xania said quietly, but stood back and looked at Celeheit. "But maybe later. You're exhausted."
"Exactly." Celeheit sniffed and went back to the den. Xania watched her go and stood on the edge of the cliff and looked down. She wondered what Viral felt, as he was forced to flee from the fire-wolves, and the only escape route was to jump off. Xania sighed and knocked around some rocks boredly. She decided to go back to the lone tree in Sunwood and check on the others.
