I opened my eyes again. I felt the eyes of many wolves boring into my person; inspecting me, checking me, making sure it was true. I was a puppy, a tiny little ball of white. White as a sheet. White as a ghost. Ironically, you could see right through me; I was gradually turning invisible. The puppy mind in my head was scared, but I repressed it; this was an interesting and new power-- I couldn't wait to try it out.
My choice this time had been a stillborn runt, a blood-stained white corpse, with eyes like a vulture. Eyes that were doomed to never open. It had been a waste. So, why not?
As soon as the stillborn pup opened its eyes, the wolves had turned at once, giving little murmers of surprise. The youngest wolves were fascinated; the elders were fed to the teeth with impatience. They had seen this too many times. However, my ressurection, I knew would keep Winter Country exciting.
Predictably, according to tradition, they named me Murasaki. My name this time was Chime Murasaki. A fetching first name, if I did say so myself.
My power was invisibility; within a few weeks of my ressurection, I had faded completely. The she-wolf that gave birth to my new body gifted me with a bell on a red string, which I tied to my tail to show the pack where I was.
As usual, the pack expected me to take the place as Alpha. The last Murasaki had died a while ago, and I was needed sorely. However, once again I became bored. I fled across the dimensions to Dusk Isle, where I was taken in by Sunlit as a warrior on Sunwood. It was fun, for a while. However, eventually, my body was killed in a bloody battle against a monster. It was exciting, though, very much so; I do not regret doing it. This was the cost of shirking my duties again, though. Next time I ressurrected, I would have to be alpha.

I opened my eyes again. I felt the stares of many wolves inspecting me, their looks of confusion and fear drilling into my eyes, making sure it was true. I was an apprentice, a graceful wolf with purple fur and sleek black wings. My feathers, however, were matted with blood. The monster in my mind was screaming to let it out, but I repressed it. I wanted to try out the powers she had-- she could create and manipulate crystals. I looked forward to testing it out.
My choice this time had been an apprentice killed by the elders for misusing her powers. The elders had succeeded in holding her down while they killed her, so that she would not wreck everything in a sea of crystal. She had eyes like liquid glass and wings of the raven which stood out beautifully against her fur colour. However, these feathers had been wasted, misused. So, I thought, why not?
As soon as the dead monster opened its eyes, the wolves had growled, thinking it was not dead. However, I looked at them and grinned; I told them I would not dodge around my duty this time-- they realised I was not the apprentice they had killed earlier. I was someone else. The youngest wolves were fascinated; the elders were fed to the teeth with impatience. They had seen this too many times. However, my ressurection, I knew would keep Winter Country exciting.
Predictably, according to tradition, they named me Murasaki. My name this time was Kessho Murasaki; this word in our language means 'crystal'. I liked it.
My power was enormous at the price of insanity; I could control crystals and freeze things and smash wolves apart. The wolf who had killed me gifted me with a spell to stop me from going insane again.
As usual, the pack expected me to take the place as Alpha. The last Murasaki had died a while ago, and I was needed sorely. However, once again I became bored. I fled across the dimensions to Dusk Isle, where I found shelter in a cave full of rocks used to shelter loners. I decided to see what would happen if I killed wolves, since I rarely did this. I met a group of loners who had just finished fighting against a wolf named 'Viral'. I killed a couple of them and crystalised some of their puppies. I messed around with them for a while, but they stopped me by trapping me in a crystal prison. I had one of my rare panicked moments; I was trapped in this body. If I did not die or escape I could not return to my pack.
Eventually, though, I was let out by a young puppy named Kiiroku of Moonriver. Instead of risking any more, I killed myself by plunging into a lake and drowning. It was exciting, though, very much so; I do not regret doing it. This was the cost of shirking my duties again, though. Next time I ressurrected, I would have to be alpha.

I opened my eyes again. I felt the stares of many wolves looking at me in despair, their looks of annoyance pricking my fur, making sure it was true. I was a wolf, a tall, rugged figure covered in thin blue fur, my feet tipped with green, wings like peacock feathers. The wise elder in my mind commanded me to set it free but I repressed it; this was a fascinating power he had; control over the flow of time itself. I wanted to mess around with it.
My choice this time was a slain warrior, a blood-stained yet handsome peacock-coloured corpse with the power of time. It was a shame to let it go to waste. So I decided, why not?
As soon as Kaiti brought me to her realm to bury me respectfully in her valley, I had opened my eyes. All the wolves who were helping her seemed shocked, but she wasn't. She told me I had made a good choice ressurecting in this wolf. She wanted me to do her a favour. The youngest wolves were fascinated; the elders were fed to the teeth with impatience. They had seen this too many times. However, my ressurection, I knew would keep Winter Country exciting.
Predictably, according to tradition, they renamed me Murasaki. However, it was a mere addition to the name this warrior had already earned-- my name was long and beautiful, Pikokku-no-kagayaki Murasaki. Kaiti continued to call me Piku even though Piku's mind did not exist. I did not mind; in our language, his name meant 'Shining peacock'. I thought it was a nice name.
My power was temporal-based and very powerful. However, I had a gift from Piku's ancestor Apose; a shing gold earring which limited my powers. It was a pity, but it would only last until I got a new body.
As usual, the pack expected me to take the place as Alpha. The last Murasaki had died a while ago, and I was needed sorely. However, Kaiti had other plans for me. She wanted me to finish the job Pikokku had started. She wanted me to kill his old enemy Silvermask in return for taking his body. I was sent to Moonriver, where I killed Silvermask. In the process, my limited body was easily killed along with her. She took my body to the grave. This was the cost of shirking my duties again. Next time I ressurrected, I would have to be alpha.

I looked around.
The sky was silent.
I liked the peacefulness, the way the breeze blew my fur.
I felt no stares of angry wolves, no-one trying to tell themselves it was true.
I was just a lone wolf, half-asleep, drifting in the sky on a carpet of cloud; my fur a chocolate brown, marked only with glowing pink ring markings on my legs. My wings were swirling treble clefs, my eyes glowing a bright shade of magenta. I wasn't an apprentice, a pup or a warrior. I was me.
I wanted to mess around with my powers. So, why not?
When I opened my eyes, no-one was there to bother me aside from the beautiful birdsong drifting up from below. The youngest to the elder wolves knew my name, and they knew all too well that I should be down there with them, taking my role as Alpha seriously. However, I didn't. It was too much work. They had seen me posess various wolves to tease them, to remind them I was still here. They were fed to the teeth with me; they had seen my taunts too many times. However, my ressurections, I knew would keep Winter Country exciting. But right now, I was taking a break. I was me.
My name was Murasaki. It did not change, and never will.
My power lay in the fabric of dreams themselves; I could travel through the air on clouds, I could sow pieces of my soul into the bodies of dead wolves and visit the dreams of the living, I could blur the line between dreams and reality. My powers, if summed up, were perfectly whimsical.
The pack expected me to take my rightful place as the Alpha of Winter Country itself as tee distant descendent of our great creator, Kyoku-no-Utsukushii. However, it was too much work. I hid in the clouds instead, watching over them from above. Trouble never comes, so my presence is not necessary. It's easier to skive.

Right now, I'm just so distracted to write and draw. I'm struggling to produce ideas and get them down. I tried to write Sunlit's backstory today, but it just didn't flow.

I always start writing, but never finish unless I'm on a good streak. We all have our ways of telling a story, by writing, animating, or comic making.

Plots are great and all, but unplotted stories are greatly under-rated as a result. Sometimes the characters find their own stories.
