The Black Bishop

Despite being tired, he found that he couldn't sleep. He shut his eyes and wished for sleep.

Unoki blinked open a sleepy eye, turned over and drifted back into sleep.

After a while, he couldn't lay there anymore. He stretched, rolled onto his stomach, and stood up.

"No sleep still?" K'Yaku questioned, looking up from his pile of feathers.

"Unfortunately," sighed the large wolf. He shrugged.

"We could go explore?" K'Yaku suggested.

He pricked up his ears. "That sounds fun."

K'Yaku flicked his ears, please with himself, and walked through the wall.

Habano hesitated, but followed him.

Unoki twitched, and sat up in the feathers. Absent-mindedly, she began to count them, talking to herself as the seconds passed by.

K'Yaku burst through the wall, startling Unoki.

Habano leaped after him. "Hi, Unoki!"

"Hi" Unoki repsonded, looking up.

"We were playing hide and seek." He tapped K'Yaku gently with his wing. "It's easy to find me, as you can tell."

"No, it wasn't." K'Yaku protested. Unoki grinned.
"9899 feathers so far."

"Have you been counting all of them?" He asked, astonished.

"I have." Unoki nodded, "What have you been doing?"

"Playing hide and seek." He wagged his tail, which skimmed over K'Yaku's head.

K'Yaku grinned, but said nothing.
"I take it you had fun." Unoki noted.

"We did! Or, I did, I dunno if you did, K'Yaku."

"Yes! I did!" K'Yaku grinned.

"Dad's been a while." Unoki commented, "Maybe we should go see what he's up to...?"

"Sure, if we can find out where he is~"

"I'll go and look." Unoki transformed in a wisp and shot off. In mere seconds, she returned, dropping back into her wolfen form.
"He's not in his Realm."

Habano tilted his head. "I wonder where he is."

"Maybe he learnt something and left?" Unoki suggested, "However, we can't get out without him..."
