The Clearing

Creekstone swung his head and looked at Unoki. He narrowed his eyes.

Unoki's stomach curled.
"Why!?" She cried, angrily breaking into a run, "Why me!?"

Habano turned and saw her start to run. He called her name and started following her.
Creekstone let a slow growl rise in his throat.

Unoki ran faster, her fringe flopping in her face. Her foot snagged on a twig, and she hurled into the dust.

Featherkite turned suddenly, to look Creekstone in the eye. Her eyes were wide.
"Yours came back" She murmured, referencing to his parents, "I know now. I do"

Creekstone attempted to smile at that news.

Habano followed Unoki and skidded to a halt. "Where are you going?"

Featherkite's stomach curled.
"It isn't normal, I know, but I felt it..." Her voice trailed off, "My mother - Sunfire's dead"

"Away!" Unoki cried, curling into a ball.

Creekstone touched her shoulder with his wing in sympathy. "I'm sorry."

"You can't just run wherever you please, now that wolves are coming to life again," said Habano quietly.

"It's okay. I'll live. You made it" Featherkite looked up at him, "You know, now you can't tell me I don't know how it feels. I'm just worried Dad might do something stupid..." She trailed off.

"But the Demons!" Unoki mumbled, looking up nervously.

Creekstone bowed his head for a moment, then said, "That looked like Daybreak."

"Won't return, hopefully." Habano looked down at her.

"huh? What?" Featherkite looked up.

"But they are here!" Unoki sniffed.

"Didn't the markings look like his?"

Habano nodded. "That's why we need to make sure they leave."

Featherkite nodded.
"And Kaiti..."

"But they in my head!" Unoki whispered, running into Habano and snuggling up to him.

(Dawww, is the little Original's daughter scared? Is she? Is she- *shot*)

Creekstone bristled suddenly and snarled. "That bastard had demon spawn!"
Mattoni flinched at his sudden outburst.

Habano used a wing to 'hug' her. "We'll find a way to get them out."

(Unoki is more of a...'wimp' when she's this age. I have evil plannings for her)

Alarika nudged Mattoni.
"I confused"

Featherkite looked to where Unoki and Habano had gone.
"And If...If Daybreak is plotting something..."

Unoki fell asleep.

Mattoni shrugged. "I think Dad and Mum mad at white wolfy."

Creekstone bared his teeth at the thought of Daybreak. "I bet that's why everyone else is rising from the dead!"

Habano sat there while she slept, careful to not wake her up.

Alarika nodded.
"White one was white"

Featherkite flicked her tail.
"I would guess"

Mattoni nodded. "Wonder if she met Mum 'fore?"

"He probably set out the spawn to kill us off so we wouldn't be a problem. " He flicked his tail irritably.

"He'd rather kill us himself" Featherkite muttered, "Besides, we aren't much use standing here..."

"Huh? see before?" Alarika eyed up Mattoni's tail.

"Mebbe." Mattoni shrugged.

Creekstone nodded and tilted his head towards the crowd. "What about them?"

"Us?" Iska took a step forwards.

Featherkite shrugged helplessly.

"Meeba" Alarika agreed.

Creekstone turned and looked at her. "Yeah, you. All of you. Especially the... undead, I guess is the word."

"We can...do stuff" Iska shrugged. Featherkite stiffled a laugh.

"Like what?" Creekstone asked, a bit of scorn in his voice.

"If daybreak wants war, we'll need to form a resistance" Featherkite looked around, "Unless your on his side?" Iska flicked her tail nervously.
