The Grey Pool

Featherkite shot alook back to Swiftwing.
"It might be like my rings!"

"Hmm.. I don't think so." Swift said. "Koon, can I get a better look at your eyes?"

"S...sure..." Kooni sat down in front of Swiftwing.

"Hmm.." She looked into them. "I think theres some blood in them." She said, slightly alarmed.

Featherkite sat there, and looked at the rings of light around her tail.
"Agh!"

Kooni screamed. A massive energy swelled into her eyes. Blue fire set alight on Swiftwing's paws and began burning slowly up her arms.
"MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!" Kooni cried out, closing her eyes again. Almost at once, the fire vanished, though there were no burn marks to show that it had been there either.

Featherkite bolted towards Kooneria, her eyes wide.

"I think we need to take you to your mum and Grandad." Swift cried out, scared for the youngest pup's safety

"Well, we can't go anywhere" Featherkite pointed out.
"What about the - Apose wolf?"

Kooneria curled into a little ball, her eyes stinging with blood, now crying again.

Swift began to wimper. She remembered the portal.

"Stay with Koon, Feath." She leapt into the pool without a second thought

Featherkite licked Kooneria.
She flickered her tail, which pased over Kooneria for half - a second. Her tail froze, and the light hit Kooneria's eyes.
"No!" Featherkite yelled.

It was too late- Swift was gone. To the Plateau.

((Kite is yelling at her light))

"WAIT!" yelled Kooni. The light repelled away from her. Kooni scrunched up into a ball again.
"If... If I can go through with this... it's training..." she half-cried, but was forcing herself to stop. "I don't want to be the runt of the four... anymore..."

"Your not a runt" Featherkite suddenly sat up.
"I think your eyes are evolving"

"My eyes are not evolving..." Kooni shuddered. "It's the illusions... they create..."

Swift landed with a thump.

"Don't worry! Time is trying to destroy the lock on your powers and it will hurt for a few hours, though after that it should stop."

Kooni nodded. She slowly unclurled, and got shakily to her feet. Blood stopped dripping from her eyes; only the stains were left.
"It hurts a bit still... but hopefully it'll stop..." Kooni went to Featherkite and put her head against her side to prevent herself from keeling over.
"Can I stay like this?" she asked. "It stops me from feeling unsteady..."

Swift sighed. Awww...

Featherkite looked stupidly up.

"D... do we have to explore or something?" Kooni shivered. "It seems as if... as if we're the only ones here..."

"Dunno." Swift said.

"Neon's coming I think" Featherkite mumbled.
